If you go down to the club, you will see a new addition to the yard! Lucy has been given a face lift and is now a bit of a children's play area. Please feel free to use her, we will be adding some sand in the Spring too. Children must be under supervision whilst at the club and take care in case she is slippy.

I wanted to update you on the current situation and the steps we have taken to reintroduce club dinghy hire.
Following on from, our last update on the 19th May it has been great to see so many members visiting the Sailing Club and following the guidelines. Over the last week just under 50% of the membership have visited the club without incident which is absolutely fantastic.
We have now put in place additional measures covering the use of club sailing dinghies and are happy that we can now reintroduce club dinghy hire having updated the guidance accordingly. If you are interesting in hiring a club dinghy then please read the Coronavirus guidance on Club Sailing Dinghies and contact the Training Officer (Will) via email - [email protected]
If you are planning on coming to the Club and have not read the Guidance then before your visit please take some time to read, and familiarize yourself with the guidance.
We want to ensure that the sailing club is a safe environment and if any members feel they can help or contribute to a safe return to sailing please contact any member of the committee.

I wanted to update you on the Sailing Club's plans for a safe return to private sailing.
Following on from, our last update on the 16th May and our original statement on the 12th May the General Committee has met tonight to ratify our COVID-19 guidelines to members which are available here.
Before visiting the Sailing Club please take some time to read, and familiarize yourself with the guidance.
The guidance will be implemented in full over the next couple of days. This will be completed by Saturday 23rd May. We would therefore like to invite members to recommence private sailing from Saturday 23rd May.
I would like to reiterate that this is a safe, controlled return to private sailing only - until the Government advice changes there are no plans to reinstate or restart any organised training or social events but as soon as we can safely do this we will.
We want to ensure that the sailing club is a safe environment and if any members feel they can help or contribute to a safe return to sailing please contact any member of the committee.
